I totally married up

I am so proud of my husband. Who is such a smarty pants.

Can I just brag for a moment?

Josh is the most educated person I know. Not only does he have a Bachelors Degree in Bio-Medical Engineering, but he is ALMOST finished with his Masters Degree in Mechanical Engineering. Funny that he married a girl with no more than a high school diploma, and a couple years of "college" at Dixie State. He is so helping our kids with their homework.

So, after all this schooling, it has finally paid off. Josh was offered a position at Hill Air Force Base, and he has accepted it. He starts May 11, just in time to get done with finals. It is a part time position for now, until he graduates at the end of the year.

In the meantime, he will still be part time in the lab at the U, and writing a thesis, AND let's not forget, water skiing as much as humanly possible.

Fun Family Times

We went to Las Vegas this weekend, and had a great time! Keli came into town Friday, and we got to spend the whole weekend with her. It was so fun!

Josh and I headed down Friday night, to make it just in time to play with Gracie before she went to bed.

Saturday it as Brighton's wedding, and it was beautiful. We got to go to the Las Vegas Temple, which ended up being quite the drive. Thank goodness for the McDonalds on the way home.

Sunday rolled around, and we had to head home.

Here are some puctures from the chaos

Old Faithful

I woke up Saturday with purpose. Josh and I were out of underwear, the bathroom was growing who knows what, and the dishes were overflowing. Wow, I sound like a terrible housekeeper.... Hey, give me a break. This house work stuff is new to me. I grew up with a housekeeper and a mom who loved dishes!

As I was putting laundry in the washer, I realize we have stalactites hanging from the shelf in the closet, that have dripped forming stalactites on one of my dresses, and puddling on the floor. Awesome. Old Man Carl's Laundry Detergent is a little old, don't you think? The bottom had burst open and leaked everywhere!

So, I get to work, and have to basically hose down the place. Once everything is cleaned up, and if you have ever cleaned up a half a bottle of laundry detergent, you know it gets soapy, and very very very very bubbly. So, I throw the stuff covered in detergent in the laundry, and head to clean the bathroom. While scrubbing the sink, I can hear the washer draining, and some "glub glub glub" sounds. Uh Oh. Next thing I know, there is water shooting out of the toilet, and water bubbling (LOTS of bubbles, which I attribute to the soapiness of the laundry) up from the drain in the shower! AH! I have a geyser!

Turns out, we have a blockage. DUH. Great. So, Wednesday night at 9:30PM, the rooter man shows up with his snake thingy, and gets down and dirty. This made Old Man Carl's day, or night, whatever. He hasn't this much action in years. He even got the energy to make it down the stairs to check it out. Bless his heart. No, really.

DWTS

Did anyone out there watch Dancing with the Stars? If you did, give me the scoop. Who got the boot?

I love this show. So much. Why? I have no idea.

Ok, Ok!

I got the third degree from Keli the other day on the fact that I still have a blog. Oh yeah, I guess I do.

Things are going well for the Quinski's, except we haven't been doing nearly enough water skiing. In fact, Josh traded in the wetsuit for a snow suit and is out enjoying the fresh 100 inches of snow that have fallen in the last 4 days. I am actually not exaggerating this time. I heard it on the news....

I haven't been riding as much as I would like either (hence the weather, and an enormous amount of laziness) but I am trying to get motivated. Troy tried talking me into the 1000 Warriors, but that isn't motivation, for me, that is a death sentence!

Our little apartment is coming together. We are still constantly trying to get rid of the lingering smoke/old man/basement smell, and I have even come across a few spiders. Yep, still a chicken for our eight-legged friends. Thank goodness for a husband who thinks I am ridiculous. :)

These last couple days have been extremely trying for me. I found out some news Tuesday, and it affected me more than I thought it would. I thought I was prepared for this, but come to find out, I wasn't. I have been feeling especially lonely lately (no, this isn't a pity party for Meg) and it just seemed to all happen at once. I thought last night, as I was down in Riverton visiting my mom's new headstone, which is beautiful, that I know that I could stop in to numerous different neighbors and friends houses, and they would just let me cry. Thank you all for that. One of these days I may show up on your doorstep. Lucky you.

However, there is a light at the end of the tunnel. We are all meeting in Vegas in April for a very special cousins wedding, and I can't wait to be all together again. These are the moments that I cherish most.

Speaking of this very special cousin, I still haven't received a wedding invite, so maybe I will not be attending the wedding.... Guess we will see! :)
