My new toy...

I love it. It is so fun, and it really is a workout, well, for those of us who are out of shape it is a workout. We were up until the wee hours in the morning Sunday morning, and my body is still in pain today! Or that could be from the first ride OUTSIDE of the season, in, um, like, 6 MONTHS!!

So, my fitness goal is set, and home I go to get in my electronic workout. :)

Waterskiing, in MARCH!

This is me, in all my glory, and 3, yes three wetsuits....

Josh, Dave and I celebrated the beginning of Spring Break by going down to St. George to get the boat out for the first ski of the season. Even with the water only being 50 degrees, and your feet going numb, the skiing was pretty great!

"A" for Effort

So, when I bought the wagon back in September, Josh and I had the discussion of taking the car to the dealer to get serviced, or having him do it. He was adamant about changing the oil himself, and because I am such a wonderful supporting wife (yeah, right) I let him win this battle. Little did I know, I would soon be the one winning the battle.

This was our conversation Wednesday night after Josh had changed the oil Friday before we drove the 800 miles to and from Las Vegas:

Meg: Hey, can you go check the car. It seems to be shifting funny.

Josh: Sure, I think I need to drain some oil, because I think there is too much in it.

Meg: (20 Minutes later) So, whats wrong with the car?

Josh: (While surfing the web, and biting his lip) Um, I think I might have drained the Transmission Fluid instead of the Oil....

Meg: YOU DID WHAT??? (I won't go into much detail here on what was said, mostly because my mother in law reads my blog :) )

No, to Josh's defense, they do look a lot alike. When I took it to the dealership (Dan) to fix it, he was gracious in letting me know that Jiffy Lube does it all the time. Thankfully, the car didn't sustain any damage, and was just a few $$$ short of Transmission fluid and a few $$$ full of Oil. So, this is one of those "I told you so" moments, but of course, being the wonderful supportive wife I am, I let this one slide.

(Don't read if you gag easily)
I do have to take a moment though to defend my darling husband. I am so thankful to have a husband who is such a handy man. Whenever something breaks, or the fluorescent lights in the bedroom go out, or when the door jamb gets stuck, or the moulding is missing and letting Old Man Carl's cigarette smoke leak in, or hang our new TV, and MANY MANY picture frames, and even change the oil in the car, he is ever so willing to help me. I couldn't ask for anyone better! I love him so much, and being married to him has made my life in balance again. I couldn't make it through a day without him. He listens to me complain (A LOT) and listens to me cry, and vent, and makes me laugh (A LOT) and always makes me feel like the most beautiful woman in the world. I hope that I can do for him what he does for me. Except the beautiful woman part, that would just be weird.

Whew!

What a weekend! I'm sad that it is over however. I cooked, cleaned, washed, bathed, dressed, changed, taxied, biked, and had a blast doing it all!

I was lucky to spend the weekend watching Jill's kids while her and Aaron lounge in the sun and sand of the Caribbean. Suckers. I hate them right now as I am sitting in my Basement apartment watching the snow pile higher and higher. It's March!!

Thursday night I flew down in just enough time for Jill to pick me up, pack some things, say goodbye to the kids, put them to bed, and head back to the airport. I slept all night thinking the baby monitor was going to go off at any moment. Lucky for Gracie, it didn't. Up bright and early to get the kids off to school, with time to spare I might add. Gracie and I had a blast. I love this little girl SO much! I miss my nieces and nephews so much, and this just reminded me.

Friday night Josh made it, after the longest drive of his life, he says. I think it was just because he drove straight through, like with no stops, which means he can hold it FOREVER! He says it was because he wanted to see how good of gas mileage the car could get, but I know it was because he missed me. :)

Saturday we took Gracie and Mckinley bowling, and I laughed so hard! Gracie loved every second of it, even when it wasn't her turn or her lane.... She thought it was great. McKinley kicked our butts in bowling. She even had a strike, and she was bowling between her legs!

By the time we left, I think Gracie and I were best of friends. She learned to say my name, until I got there, and didn't remember it until I gave her to Lani, and she cried and screamed my name. Talk about completely hard to resist! I cried all the way home.
I think everyone thought this would be good birth control for Josh and me. Unfortunately it was the exact opposite for me. I can't wait to have a little Gracie of my own, however, I am sure she won't look anything like this....
